  • Project Manager Full Time in Washington, DC

    JPI has an opening for a Consultant with five to seven years management consulting experience and three or more years direct project management experience. This position will be working with Department of Homeland Security clients to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.

    Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

    • Creating Project Management-related strategies and action plans
    • Full management of all phases of project lifecycle
    • Developing and managing of Plans of Actions and Milestones and Integrated Master Schedules
    • Executing on existing project plans, action plans, and internal and external communications strategies
    • Use of project management information systems to support ongoing project management efforts
    • Leading and facilitating client meetings and exercises
    • Identifying strategies for automating and implementing efficient work management processes
    • Mapping complex business processes and communicating process solutions to the client
    • Creating project status briefings and reports
    • Developing project artifacts including charters, process guides, fact sheets, and correspondence

    • Deep understanding of project management methodologies (processes, best practices, tools)
    • Hands-on experience with MS Project or other scheduling software (ie: Primavera, MS Project Server, etc.) desired
    • Hands-on experience supporting large, complex programs and supporting program management offices

  • Business Analyst/Product Manager Full Time in Washington, DC

    JPI has an opening for a Business Analyst/Product Manager to be responsible for leading efforts to translate system requirements into design ensuring they meet the business goals of the program as well as employ sound design practices. The analyst will lead the activities to refine and interpret system business requirements working collaboratively with the PMO Requirements, the Development teams’ technical staff, and customer representatives.

    Major upcoming initiatives for HSIN include:

    • Enhanced usability for registration and account management
    • Architecture improvements to strengthen scalability and enhance performance
    • Federated identity management and PIV authentication
    • Managed metadata.

    Responsibilities include:

    • Lead efforts to further refine the business requirements for system enhancements by soliciting input from customer representatives, subject matter experts, program outreach personnel, and program executives
    • Ensure requirements leverage out-of-the-box SharePoint where possible rather than dictate new development
    • Develop and document detailed requirements for user stories to support design efforts
    • Develop User Interface mockups and wireframes
    • Facilitate user story workshops
    • Participate in efforts to prioritize requirements and develop roadmaps for phased implementation of requirements
    • Schedule and facilitate design reviews between the development team and the HSIN PMO
    • Assist in the development of system documentation including User Guides and Training materials.

    Qualifications Include:

  • Performance Management Analyst Full Time in Washington, DC

    • Support development of Federal client’s draft annual Performance Management Plan
    • Align goals, objectives and performance measures to performance work plans
    • Collect and report monthly Performance Measures data for client programs by branch and section

  • Activity-Based Costing / Fee Model Management Analyst in Washington, DC

    JPI has an immediate opening for an Analyst with one to three years management consulting experience and one year direct experience with Activity Based Costing or Fee Studies. This position will be working with Department of Homeland Security clients to perform studies analysis, advice assistance, guidance or counseling in the support of the Federal client mission

    Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

    • Develop and update federal client Activity Based Cost (ABC) and Fee Models, and make recommendations on restructuring client’s program fees
    • Track forecasts and actuals for budget execution and other forecasts. Reconcile monthly fee payment data. Provide monthly Fee Model Status reports including, (1) Status of funds; (2) Revenue versus expenditures; (3) Projected fees versus projected expenditures; (4) Analysis of workflow volume versus projections and funding; (5) Recommendations for adjustments to Fee Model
    • Develop and deliver executive briefing on ABC and Fee Model Results and Fee client leadership as required
    • Support development of program fee regulations and rollout as required

    Qualifications include:

    JPI is looking for a Project Support Analyst with  3+ years of experience to be responsible for providing on-site support to the DHS project team for various project management initiatives. Succesful candidate will have one to three years of management consulting experience and direct project management experience.

    Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

    • Support the development and execution of action plans supporting DHS projects
    • Create project status briefings and reports and facilitate project status meetings
    • Facilitate client meetings and exercises
    • Support the development of project artifacts including charters, agendas, minutes, correspondence, process guides, project plans, plans of action and milestones
    • Support the development of informational materials including but not limited to talking points, fact sheets, briefings and briefing books, online content, internal announcements, and brochures
    • Support document and information management activities in web-based tool.
    • Support development and maintenance of end user training materials.
    • Perform data analysis using various methodologies
    • Experience managing multiple tasks and monitoring deadlines for multiple efforts within a client environment
