Job Description:

JPI has an immediate opening for an Information Technology (IT) Consultant with seven to ten years management consulting experience, and five years direct project management experience. This position will work directly with the US Coast Guard (USCG) Chief Information Officer affiliated organizations to prioritize, plan, and execute IT projects / programs to ensure the proper allocation of funding to support the USCG mission and ensure programs are delivered on time and within budget.​​​​

Responsibilities:

  • Create Project Management-related strategies and action plans                         
  • Develop and maintain project plans and integrated master schedules                            
  • Draft project status briefings and reports                        
  • Create and maintain project artifacts, including charters, analysis of alternatives, communications action plans, risk management plans, agendas, minutes, and correspondence 
  • Use enterprise project management information systems to support ongoing project management efforts                                                              
  • Identify strategies for automating and implementing efficient work management processes                
  • Map complex business processes and communicating solutions to the client
  • Additional activities include participating in program management working sessions and supporting program managers in executing day-to-day project management activities
  • Lead and facilitate senior client meetings, working groups, and governance boards 
  • Lead analysis to determine effects of enterprise wide organizational transformation, and make recommendations for necessary​ adjustments to client organization's strategy / functional statements for compliance.
