Job Description:

​JPI is hiring a Human Capital, Workforce and Governance Consultant with at least 6 years of relevant experience and project management / consulting experience. ​

Responsibilities: 

  • Develop and implement the workforce strategies, governance structures, necessary for effective IT data management actions within client organization
  • Identify and disseminate workforce best practices supporting - data management standards, and principles
  • Examine the workforce that will be needed to best position the client organization in the future
  • Determine the overall fiscal resources that will be needed and lead future resource proposal development
  • Provide report on workforce & recommended COAs for better utilization of members with data analytics competencies
  • Developing / executing training data/information owners and data steward roles – based upon strategic workforce To Be state
  • Coordinating and participating in Working Group(s) and Joint Service Integrated Project Teams, consisting of US Military Services, Department of Defense (DoD), Civilian, and contractor staff
  • As a member of a project team, supporting the development of project artifacts, including project management plans, charters, communications action plans, service level agreements, risk management plans, agendas, minutes, briefings, and correspondence 
  • Developing Resource Proposals and budget sheets to achieve the roadmaps
  • Leading and facilitating client meetings
  • Creating project status briefings and reports

Requirements: 

  • Bachelor's degree in business, information systems or a related field, with six years relevant experience 
  • Must be a self-starter with the ability to work effectively both independently and in team settings to include close collaboration with program managers
  • Proven ability to support multiple projects simultaneously in a deadline-driven environment
  • Experience in building and managing client relationships
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, MS Teams, MS Project, MS Visio, and MS SharePoint,
  • Clearance: Eligible to receive a DoD Secret or higher clearance

Preferred additional competencies:

  • MBA or Master's degree in technical field is a plus
  • Working knowledge of Organizational Structures supporting - Big Data Analytics, Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine learning (ML), Robotic Process Automation (RPA), Cloud Adoption and migration, and Application Programming Interface (API) service management initiatives
  • Working knowledge of IT network concepts and capabilities
  • Knowledge of SDLC, ITIL, and / or Software Engineering Institute Capability Maturity Model (SEI CMM) principles preferred
  • Exposure to the DoD Joint Information Environment – IT strategy or implementation
  • DOD / 4th Estate Agencies, US Coast Guard, Department of Homeland Security, or DoD experience preferred ​
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred
